Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks you for gender, date of birth, a self-assessment of health, tobacco status, how much coverage you want, and how long you want it. That information alone is sufficient for carriers to provide their quoted rates. Personal identifying details—name, address, detailed health records—are only collected if you choose to complete an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates quoted by each carrier for the health class you chose. They represent estimates and nothing more. The final premium and health class come from the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm your class, improve it, or adjust it. This website makes no offer of insurance coverage and does not guarantee any premium amount.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll be asked for your name; the application is then created using the exact quote you've selected, and you proceed on the carriers' own secure platform. You're free to leave and return anytime. Your signature is added electronically to complete the application. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), processes the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you want, and your personal circumstances. Some carriers with immediate-decision programs can approve eligible applicants without an exam; each quote tells you whether an exam is required, conditional, or not required for that offer.
Is a longer term better?
The duration should match the period when losing your income would hurt your dependents: a home loan, minor children, business debt. A longer term has a higher monthly cost but locks your rate in for more years. The quote tool lets you compare how the same coverage costs across the 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting system doesn't ask for personal contact information, and we don't share or sell visitor data to anyone. Our analytics have no cookies and respect your privacy preferences. Visit the privacy page to learn exactly what information is collected and who has access to it.
